Chutney recipe
1lb cooking onions
1lb cooking (or other) apples
1lb sultanas or dates or raisins
1lb dark brown sugar
1/2 pt vinegar or more
Pinch salt, pepper, paprika, chilli powder to taste
Mince all ingredients (except sugar & vinegar)
Add the sugar and vinegar
Cover and leave to stand for 24 hours.
Bottle/jar it.
